Course Description

The Diploma of Business course is designed for people who wish to develop skills to work in a variety of management roles across any industry sectors.  It is ideal for individuals who want to manage, or are managing a business, and are looking to increase the skills required to successfully run and grow that business.

The Diploma of Business will provide you with a broad understanding of business knowledge, techniques, foundation entrepreneurship, leadership skills and self-confidence to succeed in business today. You will learn to identify new and emerging opportunities for a business and develop strategies to capitalise on them, whether it’s in your business or as a future leader in private enterprise.

You will learn business skills in administration, marketing, business planning, financial management, and risk management. The diploma of business qualification focuses primarily on both the internal and external functions of managing a business.

Units of study will be agreed at the time of enrolment and may include:

  • Methods of training will include distance learning, e-learning and/or face to face adapted to meet the needs of each individual client.

The program for BSB50215 Diploma in Business is flexible in its approach to learning and can be varied to suit individual students needs.

The process starts with an interview to determine eligibility for recognition of prior learning. Experienced staff in existing work environments may have the skills which can be recognised towards a National Qualification.

After this RPL process has been carried out, a learning program will be designed in consultation with the participant to suit their individual learning and workplace needs. The method for training will include on-the-job training, work based projects, online learning and face to face.

This learning is supported by print resources, training sessions when required, on-line resources and work-based projects making the learning easier, more convenient, and more importantly, more relevant to the job.

A qualified trainer/assessor/mentor will visit participants on a regular basis, to support, coach and assess learning outcomes. The trainer/assessor/mentor will also be available to communicate with participants via phone, email or any other form of communication that suits the participant.
