The course prepares individuals for team leadership and management where they are responsible for the effective functioning and performance of a team and their work outcomes.
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is also suited to people who currently hold positions in management and supervisory roles where they are required to manage others and wish to acquire formal qualifications to advance their career.

The program for BSB40215 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is flexible in its approach to learning and can be varied to suit individual employer and employee needs.
The process starts with an interview to determine eligibility for recognition of prior learning. Experienced staff in existing work environments may have the skills which can be recognised towards a national qualification.
After this RPL process has been carried out, a learning program will be designed in consultation with the participant to suit their individual learning and workplace needs. The method for training will include on-the-job training, work based projects, online learning and face to face.
This learning is supported by print resources, training sessions when required, on-line resources and work-based projects making the learning easier, more convenient, and more importantly, more relevant to the job.
A qualified trainer/assessor/mentor will visit participants on a regular basis, to support, coach and assess learning. The trainer/assessor/mentor will also be available to communicate with participants via phone, email or any other form of communication that suits the participant.
